Twitter heat

Were we to meet, facing,
we would not have come to blows,
heating air to boiling, to brandish
hot irons from the fire, seeking
to brand the error forever.

But to see this, and discard
reason is to invite others,
entertained by plight, ready
for intrigue - even our own
bent for celebrity.

To know otherwise, to reason,
to devise mathematical scheme is
to become wise beyond the message -
to know another, to visit the sewer
of another mind and to discard.

Jesus would only question when
questioned, waiting for reason to
surface, waiting for blind guides to
pass, before fools dive into danger,
heated brands.

It's only a twitter that fires otherwise
wise people, waiting for another day
to rise, to wait for the populace to
think otherwise of dueling swords
and guns for men rightly offended.
